About Natty Rebel

Natty Rebel ,is a Jamaican singer, songwriter, guitarist, record producer.

He founded the reggae band Jammin Heights in 1985 and and released their debut Single “One Day” Nation records in 1987, recorded at the Pelican Studios, Derby, produced by the bass player Mick Lynch and mastered at EMI Studios, Abbey Road London.

Natty was also a member of the British Pop group “Candy Flip” and worked on their version of the Beatles song “Strawberry fields” that reached no 3 of the BBC Top of the Pops Charts.

He also co-wrote Candy Flip’s songs “Aqua Libra”and “Space” with Rick Peet and Danny Mould and he was signed to Polygram Music Publisher.

He has also performed in the weekly music show, “The Word” Channel 4, “Men N Motor” Granada TV and Central TV’s mini-series Hard Cases.

After tours of the United Kingdom, Japan and Europe, Natty went on to a solo career releasing songs on the Go-val record label, Sonic Sounds records and Gorgon records in Jamaica.

Natty Rebel also appeared in the Bob Marley documentaries “Spiritual Journey” and “Freedom Road”.
